Post-doctoral Fellow

University of Montreal
Montreal, Quebec, CAN

A post-doctoral fellow position is opened in the laboratory of Nathalie Labrecque at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Research Centre affiliated with the University of Montreal (https://crhmr.ciusss-estmtl.gouv.qc.ca/fr/chercheur/nathalie-labrecque). The post-doctoral fellow project will aim to decipher the molecular events regulated by the orphan nuclear receptor NR4A3 during CD8+ T cell response to infection and cancer. We have previously shown that NR4A3 deficiency induces an early molecular program that promotes memory generation and enhances effector functions.  Our results identified two possible mode of action of NR4A3: 1) direct effect on transcription of genes containing NBRE motif (NR4A consensus); and 2) accessibility of Jun family members to DNA. The post-doctoral fellow will use state-of-the-art genomic approaches to determine the occupancies of Jun family members on DNA in absence or presence of NR4A3; and to identify the genes that are directly bound by NR4A3. This project is supported by a project grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

Required training and profile

  • Hold a PhD degree completed less than 2 years ago
  • Knowledge in immunology and immunology-related techniques (cytometry, tissue culture and molecular biology)
  • Highly motivated
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
